About

Davencare is a newly formed foundation in Canberra, striving to make a lasting impact in the community, with broad reaching areas of interest. New to the giving landscape we're learning as we go and endeavouring to discover all we can from others so generously sharing their journey. We are spending considerable time listening, understanding the various areas of need and working on developing long-term relationships with different charities, organisations and groups. With both a local, national (and beyond) focus, we care deeply about enriching the lives of others, improving health and wellbeing, investing in research/innovation/arts and elevating and expanding on the work of others.

ACCESS | EMPOWERMENT | CONNECTION | AMPLIFICATION

Our Mission

Our Mission

To enrich the lives of others, improve health & wellbeing and invest in innovation and the arts.  The four main pillars underpinning our work to create impactful change are: access, empowerment, connection and amplification.

Our Vision

We exist to ignite transformative and impactful change - through creating connection, enabling access, empowering and amplifying others.

Our Founders

The Davencare Foundation was founded by local Canberrans David and Carey Gaul in 2024. David, supported unwaveringly by Carey, has been an integral member of the business community in Canberra since 1983 when he co-founded CEA Technologies. In 2023 The Commonwealth of Australia acquired an ownership interest in CEA to support the continuation of the company's dedicated focus on sovereign defence capability. The sale enabled David and Carey to set up the Davencare Foundation, an enduring foundation with the purpose of contributing to the Canberra community and beyond.
